// 6 Top Places to Visit in Cologne, Germany //

Yihaa!

Cologne is the first city of my Western Europe to visit in my journey. I have never visited this place, but now I love this amazing city.

I will give 6 top recommendations and few tips when you are travelling (based on my experience) in Cologne, Germany:

<1> Cologne Cathedral, a must-place to visit and if you can, climb-up to the tower. You can see the whole city including Rhine River from the Cathedral.

For the travellers to Germany, I have 3 tips:

a. Always bring cash with you, Euro cash. Some restaurants and coffee shop don’t receive card from different countries, even though the card is from European bank.

b. Remember that Sunday is a holiday in Germany like in other countries, but shops are closed on Sunday, like do not open at all! But, if you really, really want to shop and forget to buy souvenirs, go to Cologne Central Station (Köln Hauptbahnhof). At least, Douglas opens!

c. Since all the tourism places are nearby to one another, I preferred to walk by foot and enjoyed the panoramic view along the way when I was in Cologne. If you need to buy transportation ticket, buy the whole day ticket to save your money.

See you next time, Cologne.. Me heart you!
